Sponsored by the Nona Professional Ladies, an ad hoc committee of the UCF Lake Nona Regional Chamber, Bras For The Cause focused on early detection for breast cancer. Dr. Lee was invited to participate on the physician panel to discuss the importance of self breast examination and early screening/detection.
Also, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, local hospital departments and the collegiate medicine community created bra art. The original art works were displayed in the hospital’s café during the first week of October.
People could vote on their favorite works to raise money for Libby’s Legacy Breast Cancer Foundation. One dollar equaled one vote. A total of $5000 was raised.
